Abstract

The rapid advancement of smart grid technology, coupled with the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), presentsa transformative opportunity to optimize energy distribution and consumption. This paper explores the integration of these technologies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of energy systems. Smart grids utilize IoT devices to collect real-time data on energy demand and supply, enabling dynamic adjustments to distribution strategies. AI algorithms analyze this data, predicting consumption patterns and facilitating proactive decision-making to minimize energy waste. Furthermore, the paper examines case studies that demonstrate successful implementations of AI-driven optimization techniques, showcasing their impact on reducing operational costs and enhancing grid resilience. By addressing challenges such as data privacy, interoperability, and the need for robust infrastructure, this study underscores the critical role of AI in shaping the future of energy systems. The findings highlight the potential for smart grids and IoT to foster a more sustainable energy landscape, ultimately contributing to the global goals of energy efficiency and carbon neutrality.
